Health from the sea: Thalasso

Derived from ‘Thalassa’, the Greek word for sea, Thalasso stands for a variety of healthy treatments in the medical and wellness sectors. Whether you are looking for a spa treatment or simply a short break, almost every desire can be fulfilled here. Thalasso treatments restore balance to body, mind and soul.

The fantastic 5: health from the sea
The air, the sea, the salt, the mud and the seaweed – together they form the Thalasso quintet. Five elements are all it takes for a genuine Dithmarschen health cocktail that revitalises body and mind.

Sea air:
Our North Sea air is particularly healthy as it contains condensed seawater, which is then absorbed through the respiratory system and skin. This not only strengthens the respiratory tract but also deepens breathing in the long term. At the same time, this air is hardly polluted by pollen or dust particles: a clear health benefit.
Seawater:
Seawater helps the body from the inside and outside. It detoxifies, revitalises and remineralises the body and has a positive effect on the skin and digestion. The salt mixture in seawater is largely identical to that in human blood and can therefore be easily absorbed and processed by the body. In thalassotherapy, it is used to treat stress-related complaints such as burnout, fatigue, nervousness and insomnia.
Sea salt:
Sea salt is a real all-rounder. Its ingredients have revitalising, anti-inflammatory, purifying, moisturising and antibacterial effects. It is mainly used to rid the skin of toxins, improve blood circulation and regulate the pH value of the tissue.
Sea silt:
Sea silt contains ten times more minerals than sea water. It consists mainly of fine-grained clay. Due to its fine consistency, sea silt is particularly malleable and very pleasant on the skin. In addition to its anti-inflammatory and anti-itching properties, sea silt has a detoxifying effect and promotes blood circulation. Silt packs store heat optimally and are used for muscle relaxation. In the cosmetic field, sea silt is used to treat blemished skin as it has a very deep cleansing effect.
Seaweed:
No other natural product is as rich in vitamins, amino acids, minerals and trace elements as seaweed. Seaweed is used internally and externally in thalassotherapy. It improves nutrient supply, promotes blood circulation, has a positive effect on the intestines, supplies the skin with energy and protects it from environmental influences.
